The Community ServicesDepartment offers a highly regarded, recreational, fun-based baseball league for boys and girls 4 - 5 years old. Our program teaches young players the game of baseball and provides them one of their first opportunities to participate on a team. Practices and games focus on having fun and learning the basics of the game including throwing, catching, hitting, and running the bases, in a supportive, noncompetitive atmosphere.
Volunteer coaches, with support from Recreation staff; lead practices and games. Participants play on a modified field and hit off a standing tee. Tee ball is noncompetitive with the focus on skill development and learning to be part of a team. Players and coaches receive a team t-shirt and baseball cap.
